The name BaleenSense is inspired by the baleen whale, which filters enormous volumes of water to capture only what sustains it. Our platform works the same way — taking in vast amounts of raw data and filtering out the noise to surface only what matters. The "sense" in our name reflects the rest of our mission: turning that filtered data into clear, meaningful insight that drives better decisions.

I'm Furkan Şahin, a senior software engineer with more than six years of experience across the embedded and mobile fields. My work spans large-scale IoT systems, medical devices, fleet management platforms, and home security solutions — building products where reliability and precision really matter.
I work across the full stack of connected devices: embedded software, hardware, and the mobile apps that bring it all together. This end-to-end perspective lets me design systems that are robust at the hardware level and intuitive in the hands of the people who use them.
